I was wondering if anyone had any experience with any repair shops in Golden. Specifically, I'm looking to replace a zipper on a tent. I was going to send it off to Mtn Hardwear, but it was going to take several weeks to get it back, and I plan on using it within that timeframe.

I am aware of a few places in Boulder, and have used Stitchlines in Englewood before (she is great, by the way). I am asking specifically for Golden simply b/c I work there and don't feel like driving to Boulder or Englewood. If there is nothing in Golden, I'll end up back at Stitchlines.

What's wrong with the zipper? If the teeth are ok and not bent out of shape or otherwise damaged, but the zipper slider leaves the zipper open when you're trying to zip it shut, you can probably replace just the zipper slider. It's not too difficult to do at home; takes about 15 minutes after you figure out the directions.

The teeth on the zipper somehow got caught on my ice axe (it was really early and 15k feet...). Ripped right thru the thing. Wish it was a simple as a zipper rescue kit, but unfortunately, is going to require someone with some sewing talent. They'll have to remove the whole thing and put a new one on, all without damaging the tent body...
