My wife and I are planning a move to Grand Junction and are looking for some advice of places to live (good parts of town/spots to avoid), things to know, etc…

Anyone have anything to share?

Bordering the national monument is nice if you've got lots of $$. Other than that, I will leave it to the locals...

Colorado National Monument

Grand Mesa

Bookcliffs, Mt Garfield (check my profile photo)

Moab

Western slope

No lawn to take care of

I'd move there in a fracking heartbeat.

The hospital there says St Mary's on the sign, but it's actually called St Scary's. My cousin used to be a funeral director there, so he'd know.

There aren’t any read ghettos and ritzy neighborhoods in the same sense as LA or Chicago, but generally, the Redlands area is the most desirable place to live and the Clifton area the least. Fruita is nice too.

If you like the outdoors, it's an excellent place to live. I miss it (I used to live in Fruita).

It'll be a change but there's no shortage of fun stuff to do. Thanks for the info.

Speaking of fun stuff to do...

"...on the foothills of the Bookliff mountain range just outside the town of Grand Junction, Colorado."
