Looking for snow melt, sunny spots

Hello,

Headed back to my favorite area in the country the second week of April. Spring is a new time for me to visit. I'm having a terribly difficult time finding trails and campsites that are scenic but not laden with snow. Any locals with a sunny spot with some snow melt in mind? Spring breaks in the south do not exactly coincide with peak nature exploring times in the state. Looking forward to some figid nights in the tent. It has to be warmer than my trip to Norway this winter! Cheers, K.

You're going to have to tell us what area you're talking about.

Colorado National Monument and several other areas around Grand Junction are snow free and should be fine for hiking.
