East side access into Gore Range

First post on the site - I am looking to get back into the Gore range in a few weeks. I am hoping to access the Brush Creek trailhead via Brush Creek Rd. Has anyone driven up that road this year? I know in years past it was pretty nasty, but heard that with the fire last year they graded the road, so I'm thinking it might be in better condition? Thoughts? I drive an F-150, 6.5 ft bed Super Cab, so I have a fairly long wheelbase. Any condition reports would be appreciated so I can prepare for plan B.
