Western access to Storm King

I'm going to be spending some time in the Vestal Basin soon and was wondering if anyone thought that Storm King was accessible from this side via the Trinity Traverse? On the map it looks like Storm King is pretty rugged on the west, but maybe there is a way to drop down from East Trinity and head up? Any thoughts on this approach?
