Westside Palisades, Labor Day Weekend 2011

Hey All,
I'm writing here to open the dialog on what was an excellent weekend in our most excellent peaks! Most notably, around 11:30 am on Sunday the 4th, there were people visible on each of the North Fork 14ers. Way to go all!
I would post pictures, but my camera bit the dust the week before.
Jed (one of the guys camped right at Thunderbolt Pass over the weekend)

When conditions get tough Vitaliy has better things to do than drive 7 hours one way to sit at Schatt's bakery and observe thunderstorms. Will still be doing climbing related things this weekend, but a bit more local...should be productive.

Hopefully Chief will not have to rescue Chad off some peak this weekend after his tent collapses *inside joke*

48 hours and that's the best you could come up with?

And why would you be sitting at the touron magnet? Cheez, and I thought you were so kewl and all... <sigh>

Laura if you show me a different local Bishop spot that has equal quality of pastries sold at 50% of cost in a certain spot I would be glad to check it out! And calling THAT a touron spot while eating at MONO MART every weekend.....!!! Locals eat at Mono Cone! Your Bay Area roots are showin'! :D

If you re-read my comment you will actually see that I WILL NOT be going to that spot this weekend anyways! : (

Let's see...

Looks like I'll finally have to try pelado's evil cinnamon rolls. And I thought I had a picture of you eating at the Moose Lodge.

Mono Cone indeed rocks, but they don't have mangoritas. Serious points for mangoritas...

And frankly, better to have Bay Area roots than... oh never mind.

Also Mono Cone is only open about 4 hours a day.

The bastards!
