Northeast Ridge of Lone Pine Peak: Winter C2C solo!

I've got to give props to my buddy Ben who just soloed the Northeast Ridge of Lone Pine Peak the other day: 7:19 to the summit and 11:25 car-to-car..

Whoa! I spent two nights on this ridge in winter a few years ago, it's big! Go to the TR here:

I just read the details of this effort.

7hrs 00min to the top of the ridge,

7hrs 19min to the summit

11hrs 25min Car to Car

This was done February 23, 2012.

The ridge is OVER 3 miles long, 6,900 Feet elevation gain ! In winter boots, there is some 5.7 on the ridge.

The descent down East Ledges can be real pain in deep snow

Congratulations Ben Horne, this is indeed a large step forward
