If anyone is going to be these areas before June 7th some pics showing conditions would be much appreciated!

I'd guess trail snow in the linked photos will melt fast and your trip may be timed very well except for avoiding mosquitoes. You can use weather.gov point forecasts to keep an eye on the weather and these other links may keep you updated as well:

I just ran over Morgan Pass today, trail is clear of snow up to Gem Lakes turn-off. Spotted tongues of snow quarter mile each direction off Morgan Pass, then clear. Which peaks are you interested in? There's still plenty of snow over 12K'. At least Hourglass Couloir is filled in.

The NE Couloir on Abbot or hourglass couloir on Dade

Both are filled in bottom to top. I wouldn't expect them to be consolidated though. Abbott has some recent evidence of slough, Hourglass looks good.

Thanks for the info! looks like it's been a very unusual winter in the Sierra.

Deb is there a good place to get Tacos in Bishop? haven't been in years.

Yesterday I climbed Mt Gilbert, out of South Lake. There's a lot of soft snow above 11,000'. Here's a view of the Palisades from the summit of Gilbert.

Did you make the trip James? I'm heading in that way in mid-late July and was wondering how it was for you. I'm looking at hiking in to Lake Italy or thereabouts and climbing Abbot, Dade, BCS and Seven Gables along with some others in the area. Any Beta is appreciated.

Hourglass is gone as of July 1st. Abbott will be an interesting mess to climb from the north side with so little snow in the chute.
