Sometimes you barley move on the top; some other times you don't know what to do with all that energy.
Have you ever seen this guy on Mt Shasta? Hey, he likes beer. :)

Yeah, I seen him once or twice up there...
I'd call him eccentric. No, he's not crazier than a sh#thouse rat (not yet at least).
The real question: does he like beer better than The Big Girl Shasta Baby?
Clmbr, what summit number does this make? Or in all that Alpine Style have you lost count? :)

That’s right! And you took a picture of this guy while climbing Casaval Ridge a few years back for which he is thankful because he does not have many. That climb, in contrast, was the opposite feeling than shown in the video. In fact, this guy almost died that day.

The real question: does he like beer better than The Big Girl Shasta Baby?
He likes beer but he loves "The Big Girl Shasta Baby." He fell in love with her the first time he saw her in a beautiful long white gown.

Clmbr, what summit number does this make? Or in all that Alpine Style have you lost count? :)
You count the summits at the beginning, the first one, the second, and perhaps the tenth and... Now it’s just n+1. Where n is ...

Past numbers are not important; the present experience is, feeling alive and adventurous.

I like it.
You be careful up there though. If you don't watch out you're gonna become a Crazy Man o' The Mountain or turn into some kinda lead character in a Hemmingway novel... :)

Thanks JM.

I (almost) always watch out. That's the reason I can still climb. However, in mountaineering world sometimes sh... happens (no matter what) and one needs to be aware of it or stay home. I do not intend to be any character in any novel except, perhaps, my own. Hope to see you again on Mt Shasta.

Well, to repeat (and repeat), a rather (in)famous Shasta troll, "Summit is not the most important, and that's true, life is". You're live'n it buddy! (...and watch those barley moves :D )

...but the question still remains: "Can you do that?"

The Crazy Man is back on the top of Mt Shasta. However, this may be his final show. He thinks this type of “monkey business” is just showing off and very disrespectful to the mountains. It’s never been his style. :( Hey, but he still likes beer. :D

But anyone who wants to have fun showing off is welcome to add a link here to their videos. :D
