Gear left at Devils Crag #1

Anyone know the story behind a bag of gear left at the beginning of NW ridge on Devils Crag #1? My partner and I found the bag on 7/22/16. The gear was left in a blue Sea to Summit dry bag away from the sun and seemed to be in good condition. We did not take an inventory of the gear in the bag, but we saw some slings, one harness, and two ropes (length unknown). Pls post to let others know if the gear is safe to use or not, or should be left untouched. Thanks.
