Some honesty is called for here ... I was actually just looking for a free ride to / from the trailhead

btw My conversational skills are pretty good - I can describe hospital food in detail, how to operate a bedpan, and I promise not to show you any of my scars

No worries, I'll (mis)manage ;)

One year ago I would never have guessed I would be climbing again .. ever.

But yesterday I did (see my new user profile pic).

Thanks to all my friends and everyone on SP who wished me well. It is really appreciated. My deepest gratitude !

Hey, that looks a lot like Castle Rock (State Park, not Spires - save that for next year).

Good job!

A remarkable journey indeed Rob.
Many would have given up and sat in a wheelchair till their death, but not you. I am truly awed by your spirit, what you have gone thru and how you have over come the incredible odds of that type of injury.

Keep up the good work and I'd be proud to tie in with you any day.

Good eye, Bob. We went to the Underworld, at Castle Rock State Park.

Not only did Rob climb, but he had no trouble on the 8, and 9, little trouble on the 9+, and made a valiant effort (with bad beta from the ground) on the 10a. Pretty Impressive!

Well done Rob. Now, let me know when you'd like to go back to North Peak for some ice.
