Yeah, but Denver got only a light dusting, barely enough to cover grass. It was more of a heavy frost. Most of the snow fell north. They over predicted this storm. What's funny is that the mountains stayed dry and warm while the urban plains were socked in with fog and cold.

The peaks above Flagstaff got a light dusting of snowfall last week.

They're still predicting a wetter than normal winter for the west, which would be appreciated.

The storm has come ashore in the bay area -- raining cats & dogs here.

Apparently the NPS closed Tioga Pass around midnight to prevent problems, well before the rain started here. Caltrans doesn't seem to have closed 4 or 108 just yet.

Torrential rain on the Mt. Tam's east side with 100+ foot redwoods dancing in the sustained 35MPH+ wind.

Weak showers this am.

We don't need a hard rain, just a little one to wash off the hills and get the grass growing.

I hope it snows 100 inches at Mammoth.

Spit this morn in the San Gabriel Valley. The big water is supposed to come tonight. Lots of homeowners in the foothills holding their breathes and hoping the debris dams do their jobs.

Yep, snow on the webcams for Tioga Pass, Mineral King, Dodge Ridge, and Mt. Rose .. Sonora Pass and Ebbetts Pass closed. Chain control on Carson Pass.

Sounds like places in the Santa Cruz and Santa Lucia mountains have gotten at least 5 inches of rain already.

Maybe tomorrow will be a nice day for a rain hike
