I can see Rainier from my office window!
Posted: Tue Dec 08, 2009 5:45 pmI wish. Actually I can see Mt. Diablo and with the snow and cold temps it looks a Cascade volcano. Anyone ever try skiing on one of the rare snowfalls on Diablo or Hamilton?

Its even sunny today, what a miracle! Maybe I'll go up to the 72nd floor and have a look around during lunch.

Posted: Wed Dec 09, 2009 4:05 amHey Peter -- It would have been more worth it yesterday. Except for near the top, today the snow was largely patchy and/or trampled by footprints and vehicles, whereas yesterday I'm sure the road was skiable for many miles. But it was still a nice hike. My excuse was that I had to drive someone to the airport, and then "swung by" in their car (with their encouragement) on my way back. I just had to take advantage of the confluence of snow in the hills plus use of a vehicle.
