We plan on doing the Direct South Face route next weekend.

Need to know if there is much snow on the descent? Hoping to go fast and light in a one day push. So if anyone knows what the water conditions are, or if crampons or ice axes are a necessity then let a brother know!

I would rather not bring ice/snow gear if possible.

I was in the area a week ago. Skip the snow gear, but be prepared to deal with a bit of deep slush on the way down, and possibly on the approach, though since that is south facing, it is almost certainly snow-free except in a few places.

On the NE Ridge yesterday. Only encountered unavoidable snow in the upper gully. N Ridge has snow only in the notches.
