Nice! I was there the same day, but didn't take any road shots because of the incredible numbers of..... other photographers all over the place.

Maybe I was there later as it wasn't too bad due to the rain coming in. But the little meadow did have people blocking each others shot.

Here is one for "leafguy/butitsdry..

You are welcome :)

Did anyone go this weekend or is it fallen off from the recent cold/snow?

I was at Sabrina/North Lake last weekend and it was crowded. This weekend I was able to get pix without people in it, and the colors were impressive.
I went back to North Lake today. Amazing how much it changed in a week!

Lundy Canyon yesterday. Lots of folks there, and the color should be good for another week.

Glass Mountains today. This is a remote grove in a canyon at the south end of the range.

Dusting my ass.

8-10" of new stuff fell over night with another 6-10" or so by tomorrow eve above 9K.

Forecast looks like a series of major storms to hit the area beginning this next weekend.

Stay tuned to the NWS for the forecast.

Just got off the phone with friends in Mammoth lakes. They said it`s been raining above mid chalet and even higher since yesterday and the mountain only got a slight dusting up higher overnight.

Who are your friends in Mammoth, Troll. Phone #

The CUES Snow Study Site at "Mid" only at 9700'.... the "Top of the Gondola 1 (11,053')" snow sensor indicates 8.2" of new snow as of 6am this morning. Just got off the phone with my boss at the "hill" (MMSA) and he confirmed this data.

As the clouds periodically part, I can look up at Nevahbe Ridge/Morgan North and over to Upper McGee (Baldwin etc) and see that they are all completely white and NOT DUSTED.
