Interesting to note that Clyde still has some snow/ice in it. A total anomaly for a dry winter. If it remains in this same condition by September, may just have to have another go at it as the bombs will have had ample time to detach and drop.

Thanks for the photo.

Here are some 100% crops, looks like the ice is setting up in all.

Bombs away in the V! DAMN...look at all then killers piled up from the mid point down to the start.

Again, Clyde is looking way doable and pretty clean of any recent bombs.

A couple of buddies (one is also SP member) climbed Clyde in the first part of June. It had a water ice pitch that is missing now. Too bad, I wanted to get on that steeper flow.

here is his TR with a video:

I was just up there this past weekend doing the Thunderbolt to Sill traverse and snapped these pics of the V and U Notches. They don't look good at all. I didn't see much of any ice formed and you can hear the water running down both chutes. The schrunds look huge this year.

Ryan,

did you come up from the north side of Thunderbolt? How was the schrund there? We might be there next weekend.

Thanks.

BTW: Does anybody know why I will be forwarded to my own profile if I click on somebody's name to send a PM?

No we came up from the south or Southwest Chute #1. So I have no idea how the schrund is right there. Sorry.

BTW, I have the same problems with being directed to my profile when clicking on reply to a thread or trying to pm someone. I found that if I use Google Chorme is does that but if I use IE it doesn't.

^ I've had the same problem, but have found that logging out followed by logging back in restores normal operation.
