Baldy conditions and CTC....

Anyone head up Baldy over the weekend? Headed up to Big Bear on SAturday and was stunned to see snow sitting up at the top. Looks like the northern side got plastered (Wrightwood side). Looking to do the Ski Hut Trail on Friday and wanted to wear some trail runners, but not sure on the conditions past the hut on the ridge leading to the summit.
On another note, was SUPPOSED to have a go at Cactus-to-Clouds the end of October or mid-November... I saw on the other link there was snow sitting in Idyllwild, but not sure about the route heading up the Skyline Trail.... Melting out? Maybe?
Anyone with some first-hand beta would be appreciated.
