In 2-3 weeks, i'm hoping to be able to climb Mt. Agassiz from Bishop Pass.

Any current beta (or better yet, pics) would be much appreciated.

I haven't been out there this year but considering the amount of snow that fell last weekend and the fact that Bishop Pass trail is so shaded, you'll need snowshoes most of the way. BTW, Lamarck Col is completely covered; temps at 10K' are in the 50's this week but are forecasted to drop next week....hope this helps.

Hey Art -

I know it doesn't help much, but here is pic looking over to the pass, etc., from April 30, 2007 as a point of reference. My fading memory seems to recall that 07 was a low snow year.

Not super current, but this is what it looked like on April 9, from Black Giant. Agassiz is the snowy peak towards the left; the low area in the middle is Dusy Basin:

They measured the snow depth at 60" at Piute Pass on April 26th. Even 34.5" over in Sequoia at 8,600' (Panther Pass) on April 28 (yesterday).
