We are looking to cross country or backcountry ski at the following locations. I Know it is supposed to snow a little on Mon/Tue/Wed but only see a couple of inches in the forecast. I also know it is supposed to get a whole lot colder. Anyone knows about:
- Lassen NP (park page says "patchy to 12 inches", that's a big range)
- Bodie ghost town (too early yet?)
- Tuolumne Meadows (how far can you drive on 120 from Lee Vining?)
- anything out of Twin Lakes (go up Little Slide Cyn to the Hulk?)
- South Lake, North Lake, Lake Sabrina out of Bishop (how far can you drive on the pavement?)

Or any other suggestions are welcome.

thanks guys!

A friend has skied at Carson Pass four times already on "good but thin " snow .

All gates and roads dry/open today but could change the with incoming storm.

Reently from road closure on 120W (dry asphalt at gate forever), Bodie (muddy), and including VA Lakes (dry asphalt) and Green Creek roads (mud), no skinnable snow. I sure tried earlier this week; it got way too warm. Thankfully, a nice storm has descended upon us today and there will be something to slide on other than asphalt by Thur morning. :)

Update on highway 168. Caltrans closed the gate at Aspendell.
