Paria Canyon & Havasupai in March/April?

Hey y'all. I'm trying to plan a two-fer for spring of next year. I want to hit up Havasupai and Paria Canyon area---anyone have insight on the weather conditions and temps during that time of year? The ranges that websites are offering are huge and vague.

Of course the trip will largely depend on how I do in the permit lottery for those months, but I really want to avoid the summer. Ideally I want to go in the fall, but I already missed that window. I check the Coyote Buttes North Permits availability calendar every day, but all I see is pink pink pink =P

Thanks =)

The best one can say about spring conditions in Arizona is that they are wildly variable. Be ready to deal with anything and keep abreast of the weather forecasts.

All those places have weather stations. These are just averages, but seldom are they 10-15 degrees from average on any given day.

Big Water, right near where the Paria hike begins:

Lees Ferry, where the Paria hike ends:

Supai Village:

Spring is the ideal time for either of those hikes, but also the most crowded.

April is usually the ideal month of the year for Paria or Supai, but May or even early June is best if doing the entire Buckskin.
