Plott Balsam Traverse
Posted: Mon May 12, 2014 3:28 pmI am contemplating trying to squeeze in a solo out-and-back to Plott Balsam from Waterrock Knob before leaf-out. I'm wondering if anyone has traveled this route in the past year or so and what condition the 'trail' (such as it is) might be in. I'm no stranger to bushwhacks in the Southern App's but the prospect of swearing for 10-miles may take more motivation than I can build up in the next week or so. Just curious. Any info/tips on the route would be appreciated as well! Thanks!
