Hello All,

I was looking for a good spot for an overnight in the White Mountains or near there with good fishing.

My hiking partners knee has been bothering them after the Kingsman Ridge trl. a few weeks ago.

Looking for a pretty flat hike, tent/shelter spot, and on water thats fishable. If you have a secert spot you love to fish thats easy to hike into....let hear it. I promise I wont tell.

All the water is fishable, with a permit.

The maps there aren't much good, use this instead:

If you want to fish in the same spot you camp, cross-check with this:

Check to see which sites are still open:

Solitude and campgrounds are generally mutually exclusive, but things are much less crowded now than they would be in the summer. The more out-of-the-way sites like Wild River or Crocker Pond should be downright quiet.
