The first storm of the season is approaching Northern Illinois. We're expecting 6-10 inches by tomorrow night.

Looks like IA/WI/MI are going to get it the worst. There's no winter storm watch for Cook Co yet, but the forecast calls for ~7 in. where I am.

Baraboo's supposed to get around 10 inches. Who's up for some "alpine" climbing at Devil's Lake?

Geez, I'm sorry to hear that.

Anytime it snows in Arizona, you have to wonder if it's snowing anywhere else.

My father lives up in Merrimac and said they got 8" of snow yesterday. With the new storm on the way, I'm not sure you'll be able to drive to Devil's Lake for a few days.

Driving in Lake County (IL) this morning sucked. Some people are real idiots.

Be safe guys, budget extra time for getting places, don't trust other people to make good choices, and respect the snow- slow down.

Now that we've got some decent snow, the next step is to import a mountain for it to fall on...

Geez, just got into work. It seems like you see a snow flake in the sky and the driving skills of everybody immediately turn to crap.
Haven't you seen this before :?:

Looks like another foot coming on top of the foot and a half we got over the weekend. Things like this just make me smile... :D :D

We didn't get much snow where I live. Maybe 3 inches. Most of it came down as sleet.

No complaints. I had to plow the driveway once. That's enough for now.

Yeah, we got a little over a foot by me. Super wet. I have to skip the gym tonight to dig myself out :x

Most of it came down really wet here too, even some rain in between. It supposed to get really cold over night, so it's going to be fun tomorrow.
Too bad I can't go to the gym tonight with outofstep.

I was actually more interested int he Lakes during that storm. Both Superior and Erie supposedly got 20+ft waves (according to NOAA) when it passed through.

Not surprised, according to the NWS a couple lakeshore locations in my area had some 60+ mph gusts. The gales of November arrived a bit late this year...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas (again). We got about 6" of snow here in Northern Illinois yesterday, and that's mild compared to some of the other Midwestern states.
