My buddy is working on some commercial projects and he just told me he might be able to hook me up with basically brand new (slightly wear and tear in a studio) Spantik @ about $450 or the Baruntse @ about $400. I tried them on both and both seem to fit me fine. I'm hoping I can do thermal molding on the inner so they will be even better fit.
Which one do you think are better shoes for technical routes + denali?

Denali? Spantik
Baruntes look good, I have not tried them, but they were not designed for Denali-level of cold (-45C in the shade at 1am at 14K camp).

I would go with the Spantik. I just ordered mine for Denali 2010. Scott
