Problem with my Suunto

I have a problem with my Suunto Altimax. There is no need to wet my wrist computer but the screen turns wet inside when the relative humidity is high. That happens when the humidity is high and the temperature is below 15ºC approximately. What should I do for drying my watch :?: Should I buy a new battery lid (with rubber), wait til the watch dry itself and then put the lid :?:

Once I listened a watchmaker that some scratches on the screen could permit the water penetrates through it. And I a scratch sensible when passing a nail over the screen. It could be the cause if I could dry the inside of the watch and the humidity appears again...

Put your opinions here please

Is it still under warranty?
If not, take out the wrist band, remove the 4 screws, remove the back lid.
Let it sit out to dry for a day or two.
Clean the Body and battery gaskets and seats (you can get battery plus lid plus seal combo pack from Suunto).
Apply a bit of silicone lube (like the one used in water filters) on the gaskets and re-assemble.
I've lost 2 watches (one an Altimax) from moisture coming in through the button seals or barometer...
Really sucks so remember that they're not waterproof for ever...

Thanks Luc, I'll check if it's still under warranty but I don't know if they'll change it for a new one. They could say that it was because of my bad use

They might also give you a discount on a new one if you talk to the rep, give them a good story...

Rep = sales representative
