Resoling LS Trangos

Has anyone here resoled La Sportiva Trangos and gotten good results (significantly more useful life while getting adequate support, stability, waterproofing, etc., from the upper)? I have put enough miles on a pair of Trango S Evos that the sole is worn thin, especially at the toes and heels. The upper is pretty scuffed and there are spots on the sides wear the fabric is wearing but the rand is still in decent shape and the boots are still waterproof. With other fabric hiking boots (and with running shoes) I have found that by the time the sole is worn out the rest of the boot is pretty much shot, so I just replace the whole thing. But Trangos are supposedly easy to resole, and the boots aren't exactly cheap, so I'm thinking of trying the resole route. Of course if the upper falls apart or fails to be supportive or leaks within a short time of the resole, then resoling is a false economy.
