I am looking for a lightweight cooking setup for bivying on route. Should be lighter than a reactor. Pot size for two people around 1.5l.
The stove will be a pocket rocket. Any recommendations for a light weight pot in that size. Preferably Al over Ti.

I use a 1.5l Ti pot and it worked well for three of us on an extended trip. The one thing about Ti besides being very light is that it transfers heat so effectively I have to watch where the handles are or I burn my fingers. Gear Review shows the Primus AluTech 1.4l as a top pick for three legged stoves. It's a three sided pot.

Titanium conducts heat more poorly than aluminum, however, the thinner walls used in Ti pots potentially mitigate this short coming.

I looked far and wide for the 'best' pot for my Pocket Rocket. I found a Primus black anodized aluminum pot with integrated folding handles. This was lighter than steel, cheaper with better heat conduction than titanium, with the dark coating improving heat transfer. The integrated handles mean I never have to keep track of a pot gripper. I built a heat exchanger by crimping a MSR foil wind screen. The pot with the heat exchanger improved efficiency by ~ 30% over a steel pot with no exchanger. Still not as efficient as a Reactor or Jet Boil, but pretty cheap.

It is designed for backpackers.
There are different sizes.

I use the MSR Quick Solo pot with my Pocket Rocket. Stuff the pot full with the stove, wind screen etc. http://www.backcountry.com/msr-quick-solo-pot

The handle is removable, if you so choose.

I have Evernew Ti with integral handles. The MicroRocket, 8 oz fuel canister and piezo igniter fit perfectly in the 1L pot. I also have a 1.5L pot.

I use nescaffe coffe tin with pocket rocket. You won't find lighter and cheaper pot than that! oh and btw. It holds 1,5l of water

FWIW, I recently read an article where a fellow tests steel, titanium, and aluminum pots and found no significant differences in the boil times or fuel used.
