Cell Reception - Granite Peak

Can anyone who has climbed Granite in recent years comment on the cell reception and which carrier? Going to be taking SW approach from Cooke City this summer and would like to be able to keep in touch with my wife if weather puts us behind. Would like to avoid renting a sat phone if reception is decent enough up there. Thanks!

I can't give you a definitive answer (because I did not have my cellphone when I climbed Granite), but I would expect that you would get reception from the summit. I've gotten reception (Verizon) from nearby summits and ridges with line-of-sight to the valleys North of the range.

I have Verizon and got weak signal from camp at the base of Tempest, and decent signal on the summit (2 years ag)
