I see nothing wrong with people using SP as their photo hosting site, provided that the majority of the photos generally have something to do with the great outdoors. As for the commercial content of what ayaz is posting, well, as I can't read Farsi, I find it hard to judge this case. Perhaps some other members that do understand Farsi could have a closer look and say what they think about it.

Using Google translate, it appears to be a blog rather than spam.

Only mention of selling anything is the selling of the climbing wall pieces. Everything else is just trip reports and mentioning of different expeditions he and his friends are doing (there is no trying to sell spaces, so I assume Ayaz is not a guide).

Ayaz does have some nice photos, but I don't think he speaks any English. Too bad, since it would be nice to know what we're looking at.

i guess i should have been more specific. he is using sp as a repository for not just images, but website design files, such as these:

http://www.summitpost.org/29/702672/c-702662

http://www.summitpost.org/5/702668/c-702662

http://www.summitpost.org/1/703100/c-702662

http://www.summitpost.org/tik/703103/c-702662

i understand some contributors may have side (climbing related) ventures that are mentioned here on sp, such as caltopo and shasta guide services (both of which i have zero problem with), but this individual does not seem to add anything to the sp community, and seems to only have an account to get what is basically free image hosting for his commercial website.

Do you have any evidence that his website is a commercial website? If so, we can look into deleting him. Using page translate, it doesn't look like it to me (it looks like a mountain climbing blog to me), but perhaps someone knows more. It's hard for me to judge since I'm only using Google translate.

SP policy is as follows:

Commercial advertisements are not welcome on SummitPost and are deleted quickly. This includes guiding services and other climbing-related enterprises. Recommendation and/or listing of available guide services on a mountain page does not necessarily constitute commercial advertisement. If you stand to make money from someone acting on your post, it is probably going to be deleted. This includes solicitations for charitable climbs that are in whole, or in part, funded by donations made by others.

Personally, I'm not comfortable deleting anyone that doesn't violate the rules, but if they do violate the rules, I will delete them.

Anyway, maybe we can recruit someone that speaks Farsi to help out and to see if he is posting for commercial purposes. I PM'd some members. I will find someone who can read the page in detail and that can tell us more.

I do speak and read Farsi. I do not know Ayaz and have hardly ever communicated with him. I have left comments on some of his pics and he has generally not replied. I see absolutely no reason to think that he is a commercial poster. His Farsi site talks about mountain climbings that he and his friends do. The post on the top of his current page criticizes people who are swimming in the half frozen lake on the summit of the 4811 m Sabalan Peak in Iran. If anything, he seems to be against crowds/hooliganism in the mountains and commercial tours that promote that.

As for the "Lenin Expedition Poster", he is not selling anything. He is talking about a group of people from his town "Zanjan" who are going on an expedition to Lenin this summer. He is actually questioning the qualifications of some of the people who are going on this trip and the way they were selected since public funds were used.
