why does it matter.....
In my mind I am a beginner, since everyday I'm out there I am always learning something new....
its called the beginners mind...........

Take a newb on an outing; you'll see what 'beginner' means
. I think there are a lot of small skills we take for granted after going out in the mountains for a few years.

Perhaps more like "A key to achieving mastery is to know you are always beginning."

– TR a 5.9
– Bag Whitney by the Mountaineers Route
– Own all your own gear
– Know the grapevine knot and use it regularly
– Lead a 3-pitch route

Alipine-wise, supposedly, Aconcagua is a beginners mountain and Denali is an intermediate. So if you've done Denali, you're an intermediate.
