Recall how tried to hitchhike and watched hundreds of cars passing by. An here suddenly so many do-gooders.

Yea man, sometimes I shake so much I nearly shake my self off the rock.

What is it like behind the scenes, after the YouTube videos? You must go though quite a few bags dragging them up all those 4th class rock climbs that you do.

This site rates the North Arete of the Crystal Crag as 5.7.

Why do you think everybody solos it? Does it have something to do with because it might be rated 5.6 of 5.7 when really it is only 4th class? A 4th class climb with one 5.6 move.

You should follow the example of Bob who also had read "Live not by lies."
I had thought I might solo the North Arete beforehand, thinking it to be rated class 4. When I got to the base I stared up at the impressive route. Not class 4 that I could see (in fact it's rated 5.7 as I found out later).

When you said "everybody" you lied. But, probably, once in a month someone solos it.

Ok I will rephrase this, but only because you are an American and seem a bit behind the 8 ball on everyday common factors of life like sarcasm.

Everybody who forget or don't care that they have people that care about them and love them that some how get fooled into thinking that climbing some bit of rock, that many people before them have climbed, because it is somehow worth risking their life and destroying their families over.

It is fun and cool at the time, but is it really worth it?

No I never got to climb it unfortunately. We went up there and went on it and then it threatened to rain and my friend wasn't too happy about it so we went home.

Nobody is calling anybody a liar but you, all we are saying is the stuff you climb is nothing special.

Go climb Thor peak, there is some epic scrambling on there.

Oh yea, I only did half of one of the routes that you did after I said that. Man, I live on the opposite side of the globe than you, it is not like I can shoot up and do them in the weekend.

Here is one for you, I climbed Mt Whitney from car to car in 4.5 hours including a mountain sickness rescue.

Others I have climbed are Mt Russel twice, Thor Peak twice, Lone Pine Peak once. Dana, Goode, star king, clark, gould, dragon, Picacho, emerson, elkhorn, cathedral, temple crag. There are tons of others, but i forget.
