Rainier (above Muir) open in July?

First post ever here. I had goals of summiting Rainier (July) and finishing up my Teton summits with the Middle and a South peaks this August. Given our current situation with Covid, what’s the likelihood that Rainier or the Tetons will be open for climbing this year? Anyone “in the know”?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

You may have seen this posted on May 8 https://www.nps.gov/mora/planyourvisit/conditions.htm

RMI and the other guide services probably have as much information as anybody, maybe call and ask when they expect to be able to start the season on Rainier. No clue about the Tetons, except call Exum Guides up.

I did see that. Thanks a lot for verifying. I’ve got call into both RMI and EXUM/JHMG, but have had no luck in reaching anyone. Fingers crossed.

I checked in with a friend who is a guide. He said he and the other guides he knows do not know anymore than the general public and while they are penciling in dates for this spring and summer, they are not taking payments. I suspect the Mount Rainier climbing blog will post opening dates for the upper mountain when that information becomes available.

Bad news. As of today, it seems RMI has suspended all their guide services for the 2020 season. This might be a harbinger of what is to come regarding non-guided climbs. Hoping I’m wrong.

I booked a climb with Alpine Ascents for last week of July (July 30-Aug1). So, I guess it's open. The situation could change however.
