I'd climb with anyone who has displayed character, integrity, and competence.

We can argue about politics or religion afterward.

Already done that, more than once. It would only be an issue if I constantly have to hear about it.

It's not an issue, even if I do constantly have to hear about it. It doesn't bother me one bit. In fact, since homosexuality pisses off the Religious Right, it's a positive thing in my book.

I agree with what has been said above, I think anyone who has integrity and wont get me killed, as long as they respect my different view points, and I respect theirs, I would have no problem roping up with.

To put it more positively, I will climb with anyone who has accepted The Flying Spaghetti Monster into their stomach.

Can't say that I've ever discussed politics or religion with a climbing partner in 35 years of climbing.

I can climb and vote at the same time.

A partner is somebody who can climb with a safe fast system. One who knows how to look around and stay on root and knows how to have fun.

few and far between.

I'd climb with anyone who has a solid set of ethics and morals and the experience to do the climb. Basically someone who won't get me killed or do something stupid.
