Last month, I accompanied Danish climber Kristoffer Szilas on a mixed climbing trip to the Bernese Alps. He climbed numerous M9 and M10 routes in the crag of Ueschinen, above Kandersteg, and I obtained some good footage of him. Here is the final video from it:

Feedback very welcome, of course!

'Szilas' sounds like a Hungarian name...

Cool video of climb to dream about. I didn't like the music very much though, sorry to say.

Really good production quality. I liked the music in it, probably not something I'd put in my ipod but still, I usually mute most climbing videos because the music sucks and this time I didn't.

Really a well done video. I really enjoyed the music, it set a nice tone without being overbearing. I liked how the video captured the athletism and effort required to climb difficult mixed sport climbs.

That was really good. I thought the music was perfect. Excellent job Andrew.

I believe his dad is from Hungary, though he is a born and bred Dane.

Glad you guys liked it! It was a lot of hard work to put together, both for Kristoffer and for me, so it's always nice when it pays off. I personally love the music and think it fits really well, but it has turned out to be very polarizing, with people either loving or hating it.

Question: Why did all (most?) of the bolts have two draws clipped? I don't do any mixed climbing, and I've never seen this before.

This is because most of the bolts were pre-equipped with draws already (probably because it is such a pain to put them on and clean them back afterward, due to the very steep angle). Since many of them were of dubious quality, however, having spent many winters in situ, we also hanged our own whenever possible.

Awesome video. Was this shot with a GoPro helmet cam? Also, what did you use for the editing? I have iMovie but have never tried it. thanks.

This was shot on a Panasonic GH1 and the helmet cam was a gopro HD. It was edited in Adobe Premiere Pro, with titles in After Effects. iMovie wouldn't cut it, I'm afraid.
