What happened to Marc Adamus?

He was one of my favorite photographers here on sp, his profile seems to have been removed.

For those who do not know who he is, he is the guy who posted these photos:

Any many other great photographs. He had many of the top rated photos, and now I noticed that non of them are here. Did he request to leave the site? :?

I know the real Marc is fine considering that he still posts new photos from time to time. 8)

His pictures are over photoshopped.

Regardless, let us know what he says...

Good point. Until recent times I figured he had mad skills with the camera. Now a few of his photos I did notice were certainly possible with little use of ps.
As for the contact form, he is a hard guy to get in contact with because he is always doing photography tours. I've sent him two messages in the past with no replies. I figured perhaps a member or elve knew what happened.

I have no idea if the allegations are true, but somebody has put a lot of work into this website that I found when I Googled his name:

I know those guys have been banned from summitpost as well as at least one other website. Internet trolls in my opinion. Now perhaps there may be a pinch of truth in what they say. But they also make a mockery of landscape photography with this statement.

Usually, these losers are exclusively interested in landscape photography. Why? For one, the work's already been done. Real professionals have spent years taking remarkable images that these losers are usually interested in stealing. Two, portrait, product, or wedding photography requires real skill, something that sends the average loser running away faster than a roaring polar bear.

The "lies" site is a bunch of overwrought LOLs in response to a bunch of overphotoshopped images.

Wonder who has time to hate somebody else like that?

But here are more moderate responses: http://www.nwhikers.net/forums/viewtopi ... highlight=

That's a two-sided sword. Why waste time KNOCKING somebody down when you have NO control over them and whatever they choose to do with their (own) time?

No big deal, but I was (just) wondering what happened to the man "Mark Straub ???"

I used to hear a lot from him, but now I hear nothing ... don't get me wrong, I understand what "BUSY" is.

Whenever somebody tells me they're busy, I go on with my own business and jump into a refreshing body of water - also known as a LAKE.

Mark Straub stayed over at my house for the last time a few days ago. He recently climbed the 5.9 Route on Inspiration Peak which he has been getting out every now and then (ok so almost every week, for my standards this is rarely out in the mountains by standards because I been climbing most of this summer). 8) The sad news is Mark moved to New York a few days ago for 8 years to a fancy college, now I don't know anyone around my age who climbs and lives near by me. :( As for why Mark (not to be mixed up with Marc) was less active here because he feels as though his work wasn't getting as much appreciation as it used to, and the fact that he moved over to CascadeClimbers and Mountain Project for more technical stuff.

So, in other words he's busy with college. Hey, that's cool ...!

I spent a fair amount of time in New York myself during my seafaring days ..

Friends don't let friends live in NYC, Josh. There are fancy colleges in much better places.

Larry, I enjoyed the 70s too--even though I remember them--but ya gotta update your music repertoire.

Nice video, thanks for posting.

Gaga is sort of like the 70's .... drugs, rock n roll and fun.
