I now got 41 State Highpoints! Woo Hoo. I knocked off AZ and NM last week. A good time to do those two. Real nice weather.

I'd like to point out that I got my man Puma concolor beat. We both have 41, but I got the tiebreaker as HI is higher than NV. The King of Northeast peakbagging is up against the ropes. :wink:

Congrats! You inspired me to book a flight today for my next 2 HPs; Mt Sunflower and Black Mesa the last weekend in Sept.

We so wanted to reattempt Mt Elbert but gas prices & economic reasons dictated otherwise. We'll be stuck at 39 hp's for awhile. I'll just have to vicariously read what the rest of y'all will be doing.

But we did return to Guadalupe Peak last week. GMNP is just as spectacular as ever.

I just knocked off Mt. Whitney and Boundary Peak a few weeks ago while on my summer adventure. 9 down and 41 more to go!

I got my 31st highpoint done on Saturday - Boundary Peak NV.
We have an excellent highpoints page here at summitpost, as noted early in the forum.
I am proud to have been one of the creators. Of course, it is a very detailed page.
In fact, Summitpost pages have now been the primary source for highpointing on the internet, since the Highpointers Club got rid of the antiquated Americas Roof highpoint pages, and took my advice to link to Summitpost pages instead.

If you did not read this in the Highpointers newsletter Apex to Zenith you may enjoy following Mike Haugen's quest to climb the 50 State highpoints in 50 days. He is almost finished. He has a blog and a map of his journey with a brief description and pictures of each highpoint.

. Only 49 more to go (if you count DC and PR)! Getting in Mansfield, Washington, and Jerimoth Hill in the next two weekends.

Wow, what an aggressive schedule. He's either day-hiking Granite and Gannett or doing ultra lightweight bivies.
