Looks like he went down the ridge to camp 4, then more down the ridge to camp 3, then rappelled straight down to camp 2, and skiied down to the right (skiers left).

Guess I could see that. It looks REALLY steep under camp 2 though, wow!

I think getting up K2 with skis is probably more of an issue than actually skiing down it.

The most difficult skiing was definitely in the bottleneck, couldn't breath with super variable snow and cliffs on the sides and below and very steep. The next most demanding part was just below the House Chimney. That pitch went all the way to the bottom. 4,500 vertical feet. It was frozen corn and white ice. 50 degrees at the top quickly mellowing to 45 then 40. The majority of the slope was 40.
Just that slope from camp 2 down to abc has bigger vert than any ski area in the US. I believe Revelstoke Canada is the only in the NA that is bigger. But we are talking from camp 2 down. Camp 2 is not even halfway up the mountain.

That's some serious stuff.
Yesterday talked to a climber that was on K2 in June and helped with the recovery of the skier that died there after falling off the slope below camp 2.

It is a part of Midwest Mountaineering's annual Midwest Adventure Expo. It is a great event that is hosted by a privately owned outdoor shop consistently ranked as one of the top 25 shops in the nation.
