Started by direct onto the rope, then some sort of chest harness then a Whillans Sit (ball breaker) harness. Amazing how the gear´s improved - and the start standard of newbies!

Posted: Thu Feb 11, 2010 4:09 pm7 years. Started a little backwards doing rock climbing first and then decided I liked scrambling and hiking more, as long as there was a summit involved. First ice axe/crampons climb was 4 years ago, and that became my favorite. Still enjoy technical climbing.
