Like those nice pastel yellow blond late afternoon hues of metamorphic strata in your image Bob.

That is on this Summitpost peak page:

February 1, 2004 I posted several images after only lurking a few years on this board in order to stir up some changes in image voting that I thought needed improvement. The above is an old 35mm SLR Kodachrome 64 image I captured in 1986. Ironicly even after the subsequent major site software change a few years ago, the situation is now no better though certainly different. I was not amused when seeing a year or two later, on the front cover of Outdoor Photography Magazine, an image by Art Wolfe from the same spot disgustingly Photoshop over-saturated like some glowing red becon. Of course OP has always been a promoter of anything aesthetic unnaturally heavily saturated for their cover shots since the early Velivia days. Gave me some pause to posting some of my images with strong aesthetics on the web in public if a landscape is otherwise unknown.

I am still occasionally adding a unique unusual image each year like the one of Red and White Mountain last year and probably one of Mount Tom this year after I capture the big hulkster in a couple months from a unique perspective. It is good for people to know that even some of our most impressive and famous peaks have perspectives that no serious photographers have yet noticed.

An incorrect caption from me. The next day I hiked to Point Lenana not the summit of Kenya.

Having fun climbing mountains!

Sorry Borut, I have no idea how to locate my oldest photo. This is my first photo contribution to SP.

Mount Umunhum from Almaden Quicksilver Park 1978

Submitted with my first trip report (http://www.summitpost.org/from-almaden-valley/626264) in 2010. I was a lurker for many years before submitting anything. I guess I was always a bit intimidated by the high quality of most other submissions. For me, hitting the 'Submit' button takes a bit of courage (and maybe a shot or two of Jose C.) :D

The tilt was an artifact of the brain damage I incurred 3 years before. I'm now better at compensating.

My first 700 photos were deleted by the elves.

But though a friend of mine I managed to save my oldest picture posted on SP which was 6 days after I joined:

So would this quality for the album? :? To make it even more complicated, the photograph was not taken by me. It was taken by my mother who I was with when the picture was taken. I was not allowed to take pictures back when it was taken.
