That would be
El Tenedor del Diablo, a snow route in the SGWA here in SoCal.
The route taunted me for about three years, I could see it and knew it had to be climbable, but I couldn't find anyone who had done it. It was about nine miles rt, 4,000' gain, some easy trail, then light bushwhacking, interesting (though fairly easy) route finding, topped off (literally) with a .6 mile & 1,600' gain couloir that spits you out right on top of the mountain. I contacted literally dozens of old timers who don't know anyone who ever climbed our route, so we claimed it as a first ascent.
