Best Glissade in Lower 48 States

Remember the joy you have after 6 to 12 hours of slogging up a peak to
sit down on your bottom or stand on your boots and glissade down in
an hour what took you all that time to go up? I'm looking for your #1
vote for the best glissade you have ever been on. My vote goes to
Mt. Adams - Southern Route from false summit to below Lunch Counter.
What's your pick?

Mount Adams was pretty good, but it could use a few steeper sections. I did it when the snow level was 3700 feet, so it was a long glissade.
I had a few really long ones in the Wasatch too. The south face of Lone Peak was good.

I had Shasta high on my list along with Middle Sister, the Brothers
in May,and the "Old" Mt. St. Helens before it blew.

Haven't done Adams, so my vote is Shasta. Though now I just drag the splitboard which is even better!

It is indeed epic, with a luge track developing and a good runout. There's also a good glissade from the moraine down to the meadows in June. The Tetons' snow set up nicely for boot-skiing around then.

Yes on Shasta you go 4000 feet down the West Face without even having to stand up and move over. Avalanche Gulch is good too as it sees so much traffic sometimes the chute can be over two feet deep and you can bank on the turns but 4000 feet without walking is hard to beat.

Can't remember the exact location but my favorite was somewhere along the Emmons glacier route on Mt. Rainier.

I would suspect it is right after you step off the Inter Glacier all the way down to Glacier Basin.

The Gooseneck glacier on Gannett was one of my favorites. It was one of the fastest descents I've ever done. The Middle Teton glacier was my worst glissade. The chute was icy on the bottom and I didn't stop until I hit the rocks at the bottom. I had a sore ass for weeks after that mistake.
I didn't try it on Rainier. The Turtle snowfield and Wilson glacier are not good places for a glissade.
