"Sky's the limit for 5 year-old hiker"

http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/story?id=5488600&page=1

Last summer as I was descending the Pfeifferhorn, up came this little girl and her father, a man who spoke with a foreign accent. "How old are you?" I shouted across the South face. "I'm six", she sent back (I think the article has the incorrect age), and then added, "I hiked up here when I was three." I did in fact say something to her father like "I wish my boys would come up here with me."

Nice. She seems to enjoy it. Good for her.

The age reported works considering the date on the article is Aug 1, 2008.

I didn't notice the date. So she was six last year when I saw them on the mountain, and she's seven now. Pretty neat.

Maybe she'll try climbing Everest at 12 and we can all discuss her parents here.

Not me, I'm staying out of that.
