I'm planning on doing the jacobs ladder route sometime soon. is there any water at all along the trail after the meadow, like once you hit the granite slabs where you follow the cairns...any puddles in there or anything at all in cirque? Since it's such a dry year i won't be suprised if it's all dried up.

I haven't been up there this year so I'm just guessing, but I'd be very surprised to find any water on that side of the mountain, in August of a very dry year.

There is nothing, not even in the cirque. Bone dry as of this past Saturday.

Plenty of spring water in Bear Canyon. Good water too.

thanks for the info, Phenom. that hike takes me so long just from the jacob ladder approach, that I usually dont bother with the bear canyon approach cuz its a mile longer. ill have to figure something out maybe. its my fav peak and i hate to pass it up. thanks for the info though, Matt. appreciate it.
