Last night I spent a ton of time messing with code to revamp a page of mine (Great Craggy Mountains). This morning it is all toast, back to last week's version. Another edit that I did last night is also gone. :( What's going on?

Many of the top contributors were deleted including all of the site owners. I was included in this mass delete session. A site backup had to be used because thousands of pages were deleted in this event. A investigation is under way. This was no accident.

Well, I want to Thank Josh and the other Administrators and Moderators for bringing us through this crisis so efficiently.

I would have said something about this last night, but my account was gone. I created a new one, but there was an issue with posting. :x I literally called Montana Matt at 2 a.m. (something I pretty much would never do otherwise). Matt Lemke helped me logically figure out some things as well as my brother. We've gotten a surprising amount of facts about this, however it has created more mystery than answers.

Some crazy stuff for sure...thankfully it's pretty much fixed now.

Dear Troll,

I know you are lurking. How could you not be? You are an asshole, but you are a clever one, and I respect that. While I didn't appreciate waking up and finding untold hours of effort vanished, I do appreciate the chaos and the fun you must have had causing it. So I give credit where it's due. Even if all that content really was permanently gone, I would still tip my hat to you for your successful stunt. After all, it's a website, not life, so I wasn't going to run off and commit hari kari over this.

Now let's see you be man enough to out yourself. Plus, we would love to know some things. Not how you did it-- we think we know but also know you'll never say. No, we want to know what it was. Did you get mad that a member was deleted? Did my article mocking SP's drama queens (you?) touch a nerve? Why was Dow the only non-elf you deleted? Old grudge? I've got a few decent ideas who you are, but please step up to receive your medal. :-)

Sincerely,

Shitler

My theory is that it was a kind hearted soul that holds the elves and Dow in such high esteem that he/she simply decided to give them a well deserved day off.

Just fix whatever bug(s) led to the problem and move on.

No sense feeding the person/people with more attention.

But for those who come on here because we are bored, need to fill our fun meter.
