Aha! Now I see that 27 April 2019 actually never happened. It was just a dream.

That was my fault. I accidentally deleted on the order of ~10 valid images when deleting a big bunch of spam.

I had indeed. As soon as I executed the query to delete the pages I was targeting, I realized that I had unintentionally deleted others. A few expletives were thrown, but the damage was done and there was no going back.
