All site text looks very tiny in firefox 4. :x Plus for some reason all the icons and photos look smaller as well. :? I know it's not my screen resolution because on any other website it looks like what it did before in firefox 4. When viewing sp on ie 7 it looks just fine. Is this some kind of bug on sp? If a screen shot would help, I would gladly post one.

Today I had an upgrade in firefox... I wonder if that had any effect on it. :o

For example this thumbnail here looks bigger off of sp than on the frontpage:

These links take us to the rackspace page for the photos, and the elves don't have access to that site. When I click on the photos from your profile page, I get the message that no connection can be made. I think Montana Matt will have to delete these pictures.

I'd just go ahead and redo your pictures in the meantime.

Several times over the past few days, I have tried uploading a picture only to get, several seconds later, a blank white screen. In my image gallery, a broken image link appears, and I have to delete it. This must be happening to other people, too, as I've noticed many broken images over the past few days.

Hi, in the last two days, about 50% of times i open a page, there is some code pasted on the right of the advert banner at the bottom of the page...
It makes the page appear extremely wide on my browser, making me scroll to the side to be able to read text and see images
this is the code:

var _ifid = Math.floor( Math.random() * 100 );document.write(""); try{var ifr = document.getElementById("_cwif"+_ifid);doc = ifr.contentDocument;doc.writeln("
");var f = doc.getElementById('_cwsf1');f.method = 'POST';f.action = "http://tag.contextweb.com/TagPublish/sc.aspx?cs=503394_3_15177%40EMPTY%40.contextweb.com%4005%2F24%2F2011%40%252F*503394_3_15177%401306224433200%40.contextweb.com%4005%2F24%2F2011%40%252F*vf%401%40.contextweb.com%4005%2F25%2F2011%40%252F";f.submit();} catch(e) {}

For some time on now i experienced some problem with the website.
Out of the blue the site crashes and keeps offline for me for about 40 or 45 minutes. Almost every day that happens...
Today the same thing, i was doing a new page for a trip report and i had to wait all that time for the website to come back online. (finally i did it: http://www.summitpost.org/climbing-licancabur-the-postcard/718684)
Is that just with me or my country? (sometimes it does happens with some regions)
Can anyone answer that?

Cheers!
Paulo

When i try to pull up SP on my desktop, i get redirected to a series of spamish ads. Works fine from my iPad, where i am right now. Whats the deal?

What is the url of these ads? If it's on sp, I might know the problem.

Why sometimes when I am logged in, will I suddenly not be logged in when I try to vote on someone's picture or page? Sometimes, I get a message that says "Quit cheating" and then I am logged out automatically? Even though I log in saying "keep me logged in," I get changed to unlogged. Weird.

This happens to me a lot as well, on multiple computers.

Can you describe a little more clearly? For example, do you get a "Thank you for visiting SummitPost" or something like that? If so, I may know the problem and how to correct it.

There seems to be a glitch with my recent trip report with the gpx file. Normally it wouldn't be a big deal, but it took me a while to draw it up which I feel as though this is a issue worthy of getting resolved.

On the map page of my trip report it seems to have "Invalid XML Data" according to sp as seen here:
http://www.summitpost.org/it-doesn-t-ge ... map/736442

But I know it's not the gpx file, it's SP. I've conducted a series of experiments and carefully looked through the actual code of the gpx file which matches up with all my other working gpx files.

Here is a sample of the exact same gpx file working on a test page:
http://www.summitpost.org/test-page/gpx-map/737359
Yes, I did try re-uploading the gpx file and other tricks I could think of which did not work. I would redo the page, but don't want to loose the comments on my trip report. :wink: I don't suppose any elf can work there magic wand or perhaps know what the problem may be?

I confirmed that the two copies of Josh's GPX file are identical.

http://www.summitpost.org//gpx/736442.gpx

http://www.summitpost.org/gpx/737359.gpx

I don't see a clear difference in the HTML of the two SP pages (other than the obvious parent links), but I didn't try very hard.
