First off I want to thank SP and some of it's members and the inspiraton they've given me over the past few years. Without this site and a few members I wouldn't have ever known that my uncle summitted right before he died on North Thunder Mountain back in 1995. However recently I've had issues with one member in particular trolling my work, which is unacceptable. SP should be a place to look forward to viewing, not dreading it. Some of you local folks may have aquired some of my mountains and rocks, hope that doesn't put too much of a burden on you. If it does I apologize now. I'll be out there on a summit or two a week, perhaps I'll run into some on you up there.

Thanks again to some of you who have really enhanced my life. However I need to leave SP at this point.

Wouldn't you be inviting more of this kind abuse or something similar?

I don't do the "Social" sites per se and won't be here under those circumstances.

There's always hope.
For example, attm & me, we were sweet to each other in AT LEAST four posts.
Well, maybe it was two.

It's only funny if one knows we had like 28.000 posts together the two of us.

Here are my thoughts on a profile comment system, I think the owner of the profile who is receiving those comments should be able to remove them if they don't like the comments. (In the case that someone posts something lame on there but not quite worthy of bugging the admins to get rid of ).

But this suggestion only comes in if there was one.

I agree with the majority of folks here. It's a bad idea.
If SP turns into Myspace or Facebook, I'll delete my shit and leave.

In an age when everybody seems to be so concerned about privacy rights, 'opinions', secrecy etc. there sure seems to be a lot of hypercrites on Facebook, Tweets, Myspace, dating sites wanting everyone else to know their 'status', astrological sign, personal likes/dislikes, rolling out the 'welcome mat', making lists ......whatever.
Just use a PM and be done with it.

Oh, and yes, I agree with those who don't want comments on my profile page.

I would like to be able to leave my own comments and attribute them to other SP members.

Comments are like shadows.

They will always be there, but if we ignore them they'll probably leave us alone. Unless they're the shadows of the Night Stalker ..
