Did it expire?

My profile picture is gone too as of 3/21/17 and when I try to add another picture the site tells me that Summitpost web site is not available. ??

Same problem here! Maybe just a bug?

Anyone having issues posting pictures in general? Nothing seems to be uploading successfully.

Something is wrong, but I don't know what. I never heard of an expiration date for content on SP. My own profile picture is still showing (it's a fairly recent one).

When I just tried to upload a picture I got an error message too, so there is more going on than just a problem with some profile pictures.

To be precise, after the error message I saw on What's New that an image page had been created, but without my picture in it. I tried to insert it again, and got another error message. It said:

The www.summitpost.org page isn’t working

www.summitpost.org is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500

Seems that some of us (me too) have their profile picst reduced in size on their profile page:

The picture appears to be still around so I'd assume there's something fishy with the profile pages themselves. Others, like e.g. Dow don't seem to have the problem:

In addition for these people the medium sized version of the profile pic is not accessible form the picture page itself though it is also still about somewhere. See e.g. here:

But:
http://www.summitpost.org/images/medium/746908.jpg forwards to
http://images.summitpost.org/medium/746908.jpg which is available

Assumption is that the profile page calculates the size from the medium size picture and if it doesn't find it uses 0 / 0.

Addition:

all my medium sizes are gone for pictures captioned "User Profile Image". Uploading a new pic - like Rob said - is not possible currently

My profile pic is gone, too.
Went to "Edit my profile", there was "no file choosen" for "User Image".
I tried to upload the pic anew and ended on a blank page, called http://www.summitpost.org/bioform.php
Maybe that helps ...???

I did some updates to the server software yesterday and that's probably the source of the problem. I think I have resolved the issue with profile images not showing.

I couldn't replicate the problem with uploading images. I just uploaded two images, which were both quite large, without any problems. Is this still an issue? If so, please post details about the size of the image and whether you're uploading from the bioform.php page or creating a new object page with an image.

Unfortunately, the problem with my Profile Picture is back. My profile has no picture and I cannot add it. The system will not let me upload it. Please help..

I am having the same problem again as well.

OK, so the fix made yesterday wasn't quite enough! I just updated configuration files again, so the issue should be resolved now.
