Is Summitpost going to be affected by Net Neutrality ending?

Is there any indication that after net neutrality ends that we may have to pay for access to Summitpost, or if the site may run slower?
Is there anything we can do to support the site that we all love so much to make sure we can access it as quick as we always have?

I'd be willing to contribute funds to the site to make this happen if that is the case.

It remains to be seen how the end of net neutrality, if it happens, will impact most websites. The site itself won't run slower, but it's possible that your ISP could throttle bandwidth for your requests to the SP (or other websites) server.

You can do this:
1. Go to gofccyourself.com
2. Click on the 17-108 link (Restoring Internet Freedom)
3. Click on "+Express" on the left column
4. Be sure to hit "ENTER" (or return key) on your keyboard after you put in your name, so it registers. (They make it a tad tricky there - you must type your name, no autofill, and then hit return.)
5. In the comment section write, "I strongly support net neutrality backed by Title 2 oversight of ISPs." You can copy & paste it.
6. Click to Review, then Submit, done.

Thank you for that offer. Right now SP is able to get by on the ads we run. We hope it stays that way for the long term.

The internet was popular for 20 years before NN rules went into effect. NN did not result in any detectable changes to ordinary users. :D

I've think you've lumped too many false evils into your list. Trump IS evil.

Pity that Trump supporters are more interested in protecting an ignorant moron than they are those essential aspects of our democracy.

Sunny Buns lives in Oregon. The last time I checked, that was a "blue" state.

Sunny Buns works to eat, so capitalism must be working out for him.

If we could get this thread to four or five pages, that would be AWESOME. It would be just like the good ol' days on SP when there were a whole lot of war of words, verbal bashing and trash talking - and there was NO NEAUTRALITY on this website...and forum threads were a whole lot more fun to read!!! Keep it coming SPers. And long live the DEAD. (Chicago DEAD that is, or is it SP that is Dead?)

1) How exactly am I wrong and 2) how did I have anything to do with the most poorly qualified, foul mouthed candidate getting elected to the most important political office in the free world?

I can't wait to hear your sage response.

There's a lot more than "2 snowflakes" considering Trump's record 57% disapproval rating. Think avalanches in 2018 and 2020.
