Mt. Williamson in the summer

Hi,

I am planning on climbing Mt. Williamson via North Fork of Bairs Creek in the week of 6/23/14 through 6/27/14. I know that it should not take all 5 days. However, I do have another permit open for that period.

I also have another plan to do Tyndall and Williamson (if the June trip fails) via Shepherd's Pass in the week of 7/21/14 through 7/25/14. Same permit situation.

If you are interested, please post your reply. I am 63, easy going, with reasonable hiking/backpacking capabilities, and live in San Jose.

I will be in bishop about that time. Single day?

I plan to spend the time attempting to summit during those two weeks. If you are just day hiking, you do not need a permit.

So are you going to make a base camp for several days and make attempts as conditions allow, or stay in town and make day hike attempts?

In both cases, I'll make camp at about 12k, and make attempts.

I'm still interested - planning on starting up on Monday the 23rd? Do you have overnight permits for yourself only or for a party? Do you want to carpool or take separate vehicles up in case one of us leaves earlier or later in the week?

I will be in Bishop the previous Thursday or so.

PM me for a phone.

John

I am planning on getting the permit on 6/22/14. Overnight at trailhead. No permit. Start climbing on 6/23/14.
